Governor Henry McCaster announced that he lifted Executive Order 2020-19 since it has lapsed and has not been renewed. The short-term vacation rental ban is discontinued in Hilton Head and Five Star Hilton Head is open for business as of May 11th.

In addition to short-term vacation rentals being available again, private beaches and restaurants are open. Restaurants are allowing 50% occupancy on patios and 25% occupancy in doors.  Public piers, docks, and wharfs providing access to the public waters will remain closed. You'll be able to access the beach from our vacation rentals with private deeded access.

What adjustments are being made at Five Star Properties - Hilton Head?

We continue maintaining housekeeping and sanitation procedures to give you, the guest, peace of mind when traveling this season. Five Star and Bliss Beach Rentals take pride in our housekeeping practices and it shows. But the attention to detail goes beyond what meets the eye.

Sanitation and Center for Disease Control Disinfection Guidelines

Our housekeeping team implements black lights to use when cleaning each house to look over all surfaces and ensure that everything has been properly disinfected. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends a two-step environmental cleaning and disinfection procedure. We clean visibly dirty surfaces followed by high-quality cleaning chemicals to properly sanitize and disinfect all surfaces.

At Five Star, we take ownership of our homes and their cleanliness. We make it a point to tend to the upkeep of our homes, in-house, instead of subcontracting our cleaning. We take pride in our top-of-the-line practices and exceed every standard in cleanliness. Rest assured, that with Five Star, you’re in good hands!
