Hilton Head Island is known for its beautiful beaches and impeccable scenery, so when the holidays hit, you better believe they’re celebrated to the full extent. And, of course, the 4th of July is no exception! Celebrating our freedom and those who fought for it is something we look forward to all year, and it’s here! Hilton Head goes all out with a handful of events for the whole family to attend. We’re sure you’ll have a difficult time choosing between all of these fun, family-friendly events.

The 4th of July Parade is among the most famous for its interactive nature. Dress up your car, bike, kids, or dogs in your most patriotic gear and march through the parade in Harbour Town! Decorating supplies is given to the first 100 participants and you’ll be judged based on patriotism, so have fun and go all out! Stick around for food and activities after the parade is over. Later in the evening, meet up near the Harbour Town Lighthouse to see the firework show from 9:00 PM - 11:00 PM. Enjoy food, live entertainment, activities, and the firework extravaganza!

Looking to get your groove on? Super Summer Jams and HarbourFest are a few fun concert events on the coast. Make your way to Shelter Cove Community Park at 5:00 PM to see Deas Guyz perform. HarbourFest will be located at the Shelter Cove Harbour and will feature Cappy the Clown and Shannon Taylor and the Oyster Reefers. The event will be held from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

Whether you stick to one event, or decide to make an appearance at all four, you’ll be pleased with the turnout. Celebrate Independence Day the right way and bring the whole family to join in on the fun!
